The Emergency Outpatient Department Services Assistant Representative greets patients at the Emergency Outpatient Department (EOD) window and enters them into the Epic system; performs rounds in the waiting room; escorts family members/visitors to the patient's bedside and coordinates location of patients/families with Triage Registered Nurse (RN); evaluates environmental rounds; notifies Triage RN, Patient Care Coordinator or Security immediately of unforeseen circumstances in the waiting room; interacts with patients, families, other departments, and Medical Staff in a pleasant, calm, and reassuring manner, and professionally addresses all inquiries and situations; and provides comfort measures for family members/significant others in the waiting room, as well as in the Emergency Outpatient Department.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Required:
o High school diploma or the equivalent.
o Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
o Ability to work with patients of various age groups and backgrounds, assisting them with ambulation or other devises such as wheelchairs, etc.
o Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork and problem solving.
Preferred:
o Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a service industry with direct, first line customer contact.
o Excellent command of the English language - reading, speaking and writing.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
