Job Details:
This position is cross-trained between hospital and ER Admitting.
The Patient Access Representative answers the telephone and routes calls and messages; directs patients/customers/professionals to the correct area as required; reports any complaints or problems; ensures hospital and clinic patients are registered according to procedure; obtains patient consents; generates patient accounts; collects payments and maintains and balances cash drawer; completes insurance verification; edits return mail; completes Medicare Secondary Payor (MSP) questions; plans, coordinates and communicates operating information to physicians; schedules, coordinates and cancel appointments; prepares and sorts charts; assists in the screening of phone calls from residency program applicants; schedules patients in accordance with the Residency Review Committee guidelines, and assists in the training of new residents.
Required:
o High school diploma or the equivalent.
o Demonstrates proficient computer skills with a high degree of accuracy for a variety of computer-related tasks.
Preferred:
o Knowledge in medical terminology.
o Past experience in a clerical health care setting.
o Experience in Windows based applications.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
