6 Grand Forks, ND Grand Forks, ND Full-time Full-time $60,000 - $70,000 a year $60,000 - $70,000 a year Summary This role is responsible for ensuring that all product produced meets quality standards by continuous monitoring of the finished product on all lines and executing the appropriate processing standards to achieve those quality standards.
This role supervises and coordinates on an assigned shift the activities of the facility to meet operational goals, specifically, but not limited to product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee safety along with any other customer or facility requirements.
Leadership, delegation, coaching and subordinate development are key ingredients to the success of the Product Quality Supervisor.
This role also will assist the Shift Manager manage and coordinate the activities of the facility to meet all other operational goals which includes quality, sanitation, food safety, employee safety along with budgeted volumes and controllable.
In addition, the incumbent must closely monitor internal information gathering and communications systems to evaluate performance of the facility and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations - Oversee the quality control process, including conducting inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute quality improvement initiatives - Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals - Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions - Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other applicable standards - Lead investigations into product non-conformities or customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions - Develop and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials May lead various departmental teams to and participate in cross functional teams for problem solving in a manner that promotes collaboration.
Ensure Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans are current, relevant, and executed effectively to prevent unsafe conditions and adulteration of product.
Is responsible for supporting, managing, or implementing Food Safety and Product Quality standards.
Assists in auditing facility for Quality and Production processes.
Provides an assessment of plant capability identifies gaps, works with project teams and functional partners to address gaps found during audits.
Serve as an ongoing resource for all facilities to drive continuous food safety improvement initiatives as well as processing efficiency standards.
Understands Quality Assurance Procedures and importance of, continually drives for process efficiency as well as product quality.
Champions and supports Six Sigma processes and approaches to lean manufacturing.
Works in conjunction with management team in monitoring control room activities for the facility.
Ensures that the processing, packaging and analytical equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
Supervise activities of all staff engaged in the duties of the sanitation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.

) from 4 year college or university - Proven experience in quality assurance management, preferably in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment - Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and methodologies - Familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP requirements - Experience with project management methodologies and tools - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to fabricate data analysis reports - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams - Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement - HACCP certification is preferred but not required Bachelor's Degree (B.
