Day Program - Employment and Community Services Specialist (ECSS) Are you searching for a fulfilling role that provides you with an opportunity to help people with disabilities develop skills such as communication, job training, and daily living activities from Monday to Friday, 8:

00 pm? Are you available to work for three hours every 5th or 6th weekend during the early morning? If yes, then Development Homes, Inc.
's Day Program is the perfect fit for you! As an Employment and Community Services Specialist (ECSS), your main role will be to work collaboratively with a team to provide personalized support to meet the diverse needs of the individuals we serve.
You will participate in recreational, leisure, and volunteer activities with the individuals we support, and offer job coaching assistance to those who maintain employment in the Grand Forks area.
You will be responsible for creating a comfortable social and work environment as part of our ACES, Genesis, and Individual Employment programs.
From crafting to baking and delivering smiles throughout the community, you will be there to make every moment a memorable one, as a friend, mentor, and source of inspiration for our individuals who are away from their homes and loved ones throughout the day.
Your daily routine may vary, but there is a set of basic responsibilities that you can expect to perform based on the needs of the person or people you are supporting.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Personal Care Support:
Offer hands-on assistance with personal hygiene routines, including activities like tooth brushing, bathing, hair care, and grooming, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident.
Respectful Toileting Assistance:
Provide support for individuals who need help with using the restroom or changing, always prioritizing their comfort and dignity.
Culinary Assistance:
Assist in basic cooking, meal preparation, and feeding individuals in need of support.
Detailed Documentation:
Thoroughly document individuals' progress, challenges, and achievements, actively participating in training and development opportunities.
Inclusive Social Engagement:
Foster a sense of belonging by ensuring everyone is included in social activities within the Day Hab Programs and Grand Forks community.
Job Coaching Assistance:
Support individuals to maintain great working relationships and social connections within their place of employment.
Promote independence, and empower those in your care to lead fulfilling lives outside traditional boundaries.

Basic
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Skills and
Experience:
Any combination of training and experience demonstrating an ability to perform the duties described is preferred.
Previous experience in DD Residential Services preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:
00 am to 4:
00 pm.
MUST be available every 5th or 6th weekend from 8:
00 am to 9:
30 am, for a total of three hours each day.
Position requires successful completion of criminal background, child abuse, and neglect check, and a pre-employment drug test to be eligible for employment.
Current and valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and insurable driving record following company guidelines.
