Operations & Maintenance Specialist III Grand Forks, ND 3 Months There will be an On on-call rotation in case of emergencies so the candidates will need to be flexible to where they may have to come in on the weekend or evenings. The Operations & Maintenance Specialist III is part of our Building Technologies & Solutions business at the clientDue to our continued growth with our current customer at the University of North Dakota, we are adding this position to our teamThis person will be located at the University of North Dakota campus, Grand Forks, North DakotaThis individual will be responsible for maintaining University Housing Buildings and GroundsIdeal candidate will have a hands on technical, maintenance and housing facilities experience with a leadership backgroundCome join our growing team. RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Performs a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance, carpentry, painting, and plumbingWorking knowledge of Electrical / Electronic Client, and other similar types of related equipment and systems is a PLUS. PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor and Adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters. 2Performs a variety of service work, general maintenance, and custodial activitiesThis may include carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor grounds keeping, along with facility repairs to building systems, electrical fixtures, appliances, and equipment. 3Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists. 4Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work. 5Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations. 6Requisitions new supplies and equipment. 7Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. 8Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility. 9Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. 10Perform other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS:
1Completion of a two-year technical degree, equivalent or two years experience as an Operations & Maintenance Specialist II plus 5 years experience in a Facility Maintenance environment. 2Ability to maintain all HVAC systems (AHU s, Chillers, DX sys, pumps, cooling towers, boilers, etc). 3Working and operating knowledge of Metasys (Client). 4Ability to operate and troubleshoot Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems. 5Knowledge in building Security Systems to include card readers, surveillance cameras and electronic locking systems a PLUS. 6Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification. 7Working understanding of UPS and Generator systems. 8Proven Electrical system working knowledge a PLUS. 9Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs requests. 10Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to:
climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc. 6Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. 7Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift. 10May be required to possess a valid driver s license. 11Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. 12Must be able to pass a thorough and subject interview.
